Art Therapy and Social Skills Group

A fun, creative group where teens use art to express themselves, build confidence, and learn skills for communicating and getting along with others. No art experience needed—just come ready to create and connect!

Program Details:

  • Location: Prospect Studio C, 1721 29 Ave SW #235, Calgary, AB T2T 6T7

  • Structure: 10 sessions

    • 5 weekday evening sessions (Thursdays 6–8 PM)

    • 5 Saturday sessions (11 AM–4 PM with a short lunch break)

  • Dates: Feb 12 & 28 | Mar 12 & 28 | Apr 9 & 25 | May 7 & 23 | Jun 4 & 20

  • Cost: No cost, sessions subsidized by Lionheart Foundation

Meet the Facilitators

Kristin Boettger

Certified Counsellor & Registered Art Therapist

As a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Registered Art Therapist, Kristin draws on over 20 years of experience working in the fields of mental health and creativity.  She offers individual counselling and art therapy sessions for children, teens and families, as well as a variety of art groups and workshops. Issues addressed range from anxiety-based concerns to trauma, grief and overall self-care.

Michelle Dyer

Certified Counsellor & Professional Art Therapist

Michelle works with adolescents, young adults, adults and families in private practice. She also facilitates arts-based workshops and has a personal arts practice. Her holistic approach acknowledges clients’ courage, resiliency and inner resources as part of their individual healing journeys. Michelle’s hope is to hold therapeutic space alongside individuals and families so they can feel safe, understood, and heard.
