Meet our Team

Jamilah Edwards

  • Jamilah Edwards is the Executive Director at Lionheart Foundation. In this role, she brings a wealth of experience in organizational strategy and leadership, community engagement, board governance and sector collaboration.

    Throughout her career, Jamilah has held important leadership positions at several Calgary-based non-profits. These roles have enabled her to build strong relationships with groups key to Lionheart’s success including core funders, public service system partners, and organizations that support vulnerable youth and their families.

    Prior to accepting her role at Lionheart, Jamilah was the first Executive Director at the Calgary Fetal Alcohol Network (CFAN), where she oversaw all aspects of organizational stewardship including budget planning and reporting, human resource management, brand development and messaging, program development, fund development and community engagement. Jamilah also has a clear understanding of best practice governance processes and engagement, honed during her time at CFAN and in her role as a public member of the Board of Governors for Bow Valley College.

    Jamilah is passionate about ensuring Lionheart Foundation remains fiscally responsible and accountable to donors. She is also focused on supporting strong community partnerships and connections, building sector capacity and on achieving the Foundation’s mission and vision.

Alex Cameron

  • Alex brings a diverse background in education, counselling, and leadership to his role as Clinical Director at Lionheart Foundation. Originally from British Columbia, he holds degrees in Drama, Education, and Clinical Social Work. Over the years, he has been involved in a variety of roles across Canada, including position in community health, family counselling, post-secondary education, and private practice.

    He has led program supporting male victims of domestic violence, worked as a family counsellor, taught at Mount Royal University, and managed health services in both rural and urban settings. He has also served on provincial and local advisory boards focused on violence prevention and youth engagement.

    Passionate about mental health both personally and professionally, Alex also volunteers with an agency called NextGenMen and has collaborated with Movember. In addition, he enjoys travelling, skiing, and motorcycling in his free time. He’s currently working on visiting all seven wonders of the world – three down, four to go!

Gabrielle Pikacz

  • Gabrielle (Gabi) holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Calgary and brings a strong background in both the social sector and customer service. As Program Manager, Gabi oversees Lionheart’s subsidy and therapy program, leads outreach efforts, and helps respond to evolving community needs with compassion and care.

    Her previous work focused on supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use, and mental health challenges through outreach and detoxification services. By listening to people’s stories and being involved in their journey to wellbeing, Gabi developed a deep understanding of the barriers many people face in accessing care. These experiences have shaped her passion for fostering more equitable systems and ensuring individuals feel seen, heard, and supported in the ways that are meaningful to them.

    Outside of work, Gabi enjoys hiking, solo traveling, and  trying new hobbies that challenge her to step outside her comfort zone and embrace new perspectives.

Kaylee Clark

  • Kaylee joined the Lionheart team in March 2024 and provides support to our Intake and System Navigation Team. In this role, she assists community members reaching out for services and helps with the day-to-day administrative needs of the therapy and subsidy program.

    She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and bring a strong academic background in mental health to her role. Outside of work, she is passionate about youth development and empowering the next generation as Head Coach with ACE Volleyball Club, where she mentors young athletes in teamwork and self-confidence.

Christine Clary

  • Christine brings nearly 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families navigating complex systems related to child development, mental health, and diverse needs. She has worked extensively with families facing a wide range of challenges, helping them access appropriate services, advocate for their children, and coordinate care across multiple support systems.

    As Lionheart’s Calgary Intake and System Navigator, Christine manages the intake process for therapy and subsidy programs and connects clients with the community resources that best meet their needs. With a background in Early Childhood Special Education, she is committed to creating compassionate spaces where families feel heard, supported, and empowered.

    A wife and mother of two, her own mental health journey deepens her dedication to improving access to care for others.

Bobbi-Lynn Moore

  • Bobbi-Lynn brings two decades of experience in the child and human services field to Lionheart, and has a strong background in mental health, crisis intervention and addictions. She is passionate about promoting mental wellness and helping build strong, connected communities. She strives to create environments where teams feel empowered, families feel supported, and young people can thrive.

    Outside of work, Bobbi-Lynn prioritizes balance and well-being as an avid gym-goer. She is also a proud all-star cheer mom and lacrosse mom, supporting her children with the same dedication and energy she brings to her professional role.

Scott Wnek

  • Prior to coming to Lionheart, Scott worked for over 20 years as the Business Manager of the Heritage Agricultural Society in Stony Plain, where he oversaw property management, retail and food services, while also serving as the accountant and as President of the Multicultural Heritage Foundation.

    Scott also served a term on the Stony Plain & District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Scott has also served as Director of Finance & Administration with the Rural Development Network, where he worked with the team to study homelessness and help develop affordable housing projects in rural Alberta, as well as other issues affecting rural Albertans.

    Scott is excited to join Lionheart Foundation during our expansion to the Edmonton region and looks forward to helping expand the Foundation’s reach.

Tyson Dobko

  • Tyson comes to us from the Edmonton Public Library, where his 15-year career included developing literacy-based programming and youth services. He has also worked for 3 years with Alberta Supports, assisting Albertans and newcomers to navigate provincial programs and community resources. His work is grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based practice, with a strong commitment to Indigenous services, reconciliation, and respect for youth voice and family systems.

    Tyson is a lifelong Edmonton-area resident with a strong background in community-based coordination, wellness programming, and direct support for youth and families. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Alberta and brings over 18 years of experience supporting diverse communities through public and government services.

    Outside of work, Tyson enjoys travel, live music, volunteering, exploring the city’s food scene, and spending time with his wife and their two energetic rescue kittens.

Roseanne Vogelsang

  • Roseanne is writer, digital marketer, and multi-hyphenate creative. She specializes in crafting brand-aligned content across web, email, and social platforms, turning words into measurable results. Roseanne combines her degree in English Lit. and Creative Writing with her 10+ years in digital marketing by weaving effective storytelling into strategic marketing.

    With a background spanning content strategy, SEO, and digital marketing, she's passionate about helping organizations connect with their audiences in meaningful, impactful ways.

    In her free time she can be found spending time with her husband, two daughters and their adorable pups.

Madison Fankhanel

  • Madison is a graduate from the University of Alberta with her BSc. in Honours Psychology, with a Research Certificate and a Certificate in Applied Social Science Research. Madison is passionate about mental health and systems change and looks forward to working as a Registered Psychologist one day. Her passion for mental health stems from struggles she has faced herself. She hopes to specialize in treating clients with neurodevelopmental disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder, while aiming to incorporate a decolonizing framework into her practice. Outside of her Lionheart work, she is a Research Coordinator at the Autism Research Centre at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Edmonton.

    In her free time, Maddie likes to take her dog to the dog park, travel, read, crochet, and play Stardew Valley.
